Road to Canyon Sin Numbre
CANYON SIN NUMBRE
South of MP 50 is Canyon Sin Nombre. Following this road east takes you
through some of the more hardcore sections of the Badlands. There are
some great camp areas down in the canyon.
CARRIZO BADLANDS LOOKOUT
Between MP51 and 52 is Carrizo Badlands Lookout. Some great views. You
are within view of the road, so not the best camping area, but in bad
weather it is good to stay near the paved road(S2).
WEST DOLOMITE MINE TRAIL
MP 53 - If you go east on the West Dolomite Mine Trail, it winds it's
way back about 2 miles into the hills with nice camp areas along the
way.
If you go west at MP 53 is Jojoba Wash.
At MP 54 or 55 is an immigration checkpoint.
If you camp within view of the check point, expect immigration officers
to ask what's up. They have always been nice and when seeing you are
innocently camping, all is good.
