Primitive campsite with picnic table and
metal firering. Called "Fourth of July Camp"
because this is where the kids party on July 4th
Update: Somebody burned the picnic table
and generally trashed the place.
There are several camp spots along Road#1108.
This is a single lane road following along the river,
as it flows through moss covered forest.

If you take Road#1107 it connects to Road#1376.
Take a right turn to Packers

DIRECTIONS:
From Brookings take Hwy.101 south
(3/4 mile north from the California boarder)
Turn towards Oregon Redwoods Trail and
Winchuck Campground. Follow this road
for about 8 miles and you will see the sign
for Ludlum House Recreation Area and
Ludlum Campground. This is Road#1108
and there are several camps and hideouts.
Ludlum House is xx miles
Fourth of July Primitive camp is 2.9 miles
Water at Ludlum House Recreation Area.
It is cool, crisp, and perfect...
