We always considered this an amazing
campground... mostly because of the
scenic nature and surrounding lava fields.
There always seems to be less people here
than other campgrounds in the area.

Lava Camp Lake is a small lake with a
big spirit. The campground is designed
with campsites spread around the lake.

Narrow, curves, and steep grades
Vehicles over 35' prohibited
Road#900 to Lava Camp Lake is 1/4 mile
of rough dirt and cinder surface.
Highway 242 is closed in winter.
