BEAR FACTS
We saw a bear on the road to Deadlun C.G.
He was big and healthy. The bears are shy of humans
and will usually run away, but don't take any chances

There were deer in the campground.

McCloud Reservoir is about xx miles

From Redding, CA
Take Hwy.299 north
(About 2 miles past Montgomery Creek)
Turn north on Big Bend Road
Continue north on FS Road#11
McCloud Reservoir is about 34 miles
(Between Iron Canyon and McCloud Reservoir
is rough, narrow mountain road.)

ROAD CONDITIONS:
From McCloud are paved surfaces...
If starting from the south the road between
Iron Canyon and McCloud Reservoir are rough,
narrow mountain road. Not Recommended for RVs
