Arizona Interstate 10 at Exit#1 and
Exit#5 are camp areas throughout the
desert. Primitive camping. Mostly you
see RVs and trailers during the winter.

INTERSTATE 10 / EXIT #5
Tom Wells Road is 4 miles east
from Ehrenberg on I-10. This is
mostly public lands and you can
camp anywhere. Go south for more
secluded camp areas

U.S. Bureau of Behavioral Corrections
Considering the barren aspect of the desert
it is not recommended to build any firerings.
Enjoy a pristine campfire free of walls of
rock. Stone firerings are frowned upon by
BLM and the Forest Service.

DIRECTIONS:
From I-10 take Exit#1 at Ehrenberg.
Take the road east that parallels the freeway.
The road turns south and becomes dirt

From I-10 take Exit#5 at Tom Wells Road
If you go south, there are camp areas along
the road...
If you go north are more camp areas, but
you are more exposed and in view of the
Interstate.

Purified/ Filtered drinking water in Quartzsite.
Shower at Q Laundromat $5 per person.
Showers at Lake Havasu State Park $7 per car.
Less priced gas in Parker or Lake Havasu City.

CIBOLA / COLORADO RIVER
I-10 at Exit#1 and go south along the
Colorado River. Dispersed camping areas
along the Colorado River. Like paradise
in the desert.
PLOMOSA ROAD
West from Quartzsite. Desert area with
rugged mountains and landscapes.
DOME ROCK
Dome Rock Mountains to the southeast
SCADDAN WASH
Primitive camping east from Quartzsite.
