CHOCOLATE MOUNTAINS
Dispersed and Primitive Camping

Limited information at the present time...

Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range
provides an out of this world experience.
Mystery lights and unusual sightings... if you
didn't know this was an military test range,
you might think your seeing UFO's from
other planets. It is scary and at night a row
of flares dropped from a plane can look
like spacecraft or an invasion from Mars.

Dos Palmas Preserve

Obviously you don't want to camp in a
Gunnery Range. There are dispersed camp
areas around the Chocolate Mountain that
are a safe distance away from the Gunnery
Range. Primitive and remote locations to say
the least and you should be prepared with
proper supplies and desert knowledge. Also
you need to be a little crazy.
