Sullivan having whipped Flood Will be Matched With Paddy Ryan |
New
York, May 17. - The long pending prize fight between Sullivan,
the noted pugilist of Boston, and Flood, of this city, was decided last
evening on the Hudson river, nine miles above Yonkers. The men fought
on board a barge. Sullivan won in eight rounds, knocking Flood out of
time and punishing him fearfully. Sullivan will now be matched against
Paddy Ryan, of Troy. |
